Dwight Anderson is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ospraie. Mr. Anderson launched the original Ospraie Fund in 1999 in partnership with Tudor Investment Corporation (“Tudor”), where he served as Head of the Basic Industries Group before establishing Ospraie as an independent firm in 2004. Prior to joining Tudor, Mr. Anderson was a Managing Director at Tiger Management in charge of the Basic Industries and Commodities Group.
Mr. Anderson has served on numerous boards of directors of companies in various sectors of the commodity industry. Additionally, he serves on the boards of trustees of NYU Langone Medical Center, UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, and the United States Olympic Committee.
He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina and an AB in history from Princeton University. Mr. Anderson has been a recipient of the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Young Alumni Award and its MBA Alumni Merit Award. In 2008, he was inducted into NYU’s Sir Harold Acton Society. In addition, Mr. Anderson was the 2016 recipient of the Princeton in Africa Founder’s Medal.
Scott Baglio
Scott Baglio is the General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Chief Operating Officer at Ospraie. Mr. Baglio is engaged in product structuring, deal transactions for ORA and OAS, and other legal matters relating to firm and portfolio company operations, and he is also responsible for oversight of the firm’s non-investment functions. Mr. Baglio has worked with Ospraie for numerous years, both directly as a partner and employee and as the Managing Partner of ParkRiver Fund Solutions, a spinout of Ospraie’s middle and back office that was established to provide non-investment infrastructure to a platform of asset managers. In that role, Mr. Baglio oversaw the day-to-day activities of the platform and advised on the operations of numerous hedge fund, venture capital, and private equity investment management firms.
Previously, Mr. Baglio worked as a Senior Attorney covering alternative investments in Morgan Stanley’s Global Wealth Management Group. He also held positions in the Investment Management Group of Schulte Roth & Zabel and the Private Equity Group of Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Mr. Baglio holds a JD, cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Fordham Law Review, and a BA, cum laude, from Boston College.
Arman Bhuiyan
Arman Bhuiyan is a member of the Real Assets team at Ospraie Management, focusing primarily on agriculture investments. He was previously a Senior Associate at StepStone Group and an Associate at Harvard Management Company, where he similarly focused on agriculture, timber, and renewable energy investments. He began his career in debt capital markets at Lloyds Banking Group and in impact venture capital at Capria Ventures, a Bill Gates-backed fund. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his undergraduate degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Thomas Burke
Thomas Burke is a portfolio manager at Ospraie with a focus on agriculture, softs, and livestock. He started his career at Ospraie in 2010 and has served in various roles across trading, research, and marketing. He earned a BA in finance and economics from the University of Notre Dame.
Carl Casale
Carl Casale is an Operating Partner who evaluates agriculture deals and serves on several boards of directors of companies in the OAS and ORA portfolios. Previously, Mr. Casale served as a Non-Executive Director, Independent Director, and member of the Audit Committee and Independent Directors at Syngenta. Mr. Casale spent twenty-six years working for Monsanto Company, starting as a sales representative in 1984, and after several sales, marketing, business development, and business leadership roles, concluded his tenure as Chief Financial Officer. In 2011, he left Monsanto to become CEO of CHS Inc., the largest farmer-owned cooperative in the United States. Mr. Casale earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Oregon State University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
Jaime Caballero
Jaime Caballero is a Colombian lawyer who represents Ospraie as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Agrícola Cerro Prieto. He concurrently serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of GeoPark Limited, an independent, publicly listed Latin American oil and gas company. Prior to joining GeoPark, he held senior executive positions at Ecopetrol S.A., Colombia’s largest integrated energy company, including five years as Group CFO, and at BP plc, where he served in various leadership roles across Colombia, North America, Africa, and Europe; culminating as CFO for the Brazil Region.
Mr. Caballero holds a J.D. from Universidad de los Andes, with an MBA in Energy Business from Fundação Getulio Vargas (Brazil) and executive studies at the Wharton School of Business and Stanford University.
Nathan Ebeling
Nathan Ebeling is a Partner at Ospraie Management and the Head of Ospraie Real Assets, where he leads a 15+ person team managing $1bb+ in private assets across agriculture, metals, and energy. Mr. Ebeling is actively engaged across the 17 portfolio investments and currently serves on the board of Peacock Nuts, a large pistachio ranch in Arizona. In 2015, he led Ospraie’s joint venture in founding Pandion, a metals and mining private equity business, and served on the investment committee and board of directors.
Previously, Mr. Ebeling held positions at Ospraie overseeing trading and research for the hedge fund business, as well as serving as a portfolio manager. Prior to joining Ospraie, Mr. Ebeling was a Vice President in the J. Aron Commodities Group at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Ebeling was a Field Artillery Officer and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington.
Mr. Ebeling graduated with a BBA in finance, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
Jinglu “LuLu” Eng
Jinglu “LuLu” Eng is the Controller at Ospraie. Ms. Eng joined ParkRiver as Controller in 2014 and continued in the same role at Ospraie after ParkRiver’s reabsorption in 2022. Ms. Eng was an audit senior manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP and serviced commodity pool, private equity, and hedge fund clients from 2000 to 2012. Prior to joining ParkRiver, Ms. Eng was a senior manager of accounting at Man Investments Inc. from 2012 to 2014. Ms. Eng is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned a BS in accounting from Rutgers University in 2000.
Juan Ferreira

Juan Ferreira is a Managing Executive Officer for Sumitomo Chemical Co. in Japan. He leads all global business operations and is the Global Strategic Advisor to the President of the Health and Crop Science Sector. He also serves as Executive Vice Chairman of several subsidiary boards and is a member of all boards of the company’s global operations. In these capacities, he leads innovative teams developing sustainable solutions to help farmers around the world feed a growing population and advance modern agriculture. He is an independent board member at Agrícola Cerro Prieto representing Ospraie. In addition, Juan is a venture partner at The Yield Lab AgTech Fund and the Cultivation Capital Ag Tech Fund, a general partner at Latin Leap VC Fund, and an advisory board member to Seed-X and Aggio.
Prior to this, and during his 25 years with Monsanto, Juan worked in seven countries across four continents and held several leadership roles, including CEO of Monsanto’s Latin America South division, CEO of EMEA, VP of Global Marketing and Technology Development, and U.S. Corn Product Management Business Lead.
When he was a St. Louis resident, Juan was recognized as one of St. Louis’ Diverse Business Leaders by the St. Louis Business Journal and chaired the board of the St. Louis Science Center. He also served as a board member of the American Chemistry Council and as Vice Chair of the Crop Protection Strategy Council of CropLife International.
Juan holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Master of Science in marketing from Universidad de los Andes, an executive MBA from Florida International University, and executive program credentials from Harvard Business School and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Juan is married to Helena, and they have two children. Mariana is a Cornell MBA candidate (Class of 2026), and Agustin is pursuing a master’s degree in business analytics at the University of Miami. As a family, they enjoy golfing, hiking, skiing, and traveling. Juan and Helena have been active members of YPO in the Philippines, Buenos Aires, Alpine (Switzerland), St. Louis, and Miami chapters.
James Fitzpatrick
James Fitzpatrick is an industrial metals analyst who serves as a consultant for Ospraie. He began his career in 2005 in sales and trading on the futures desk at Bear Stearns. In 2007, Mr. Fitzpatrick joined Ospraie as a trader in metals, equities, and FX. In 2010, he began working as an industrial metals analyst for Ospraie, and in 2016 he spun out of Ospraie to become an independent consultant. His recent work includes financial modeling for Ospraie’s private placement investments in the metals space, as well as commodity market price modeling, balance sheet analysis, and fundamental price forecasting. Mr. Fitzpatrick graduated from Princeton University in 2005 with a BA in political science and economics and has passed all three levels of the CFA exam.
Abigail Greenfield
Abigail Greenfield serves as an Executive/Administrative and provides additional back-office support at Ospraie. Prior to joining Ospraie, Ms. Greenfield was an associate at FxSpotStream where she built and managed relationships with current and prospective clients from many global banks and Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Greenfield holds a MA in International Relations and Modern History from the University of St. Andrews in the United Kingdom.
Andreas Hommert
Andreas Hommert is a base metals analyst who serves as a consultant for Ospraie. Prior to launching his consultancy firm, Mr. Hommert was a metals trader and analyst at Ospraie and the Partner and Head of Research at Citrine Capital. Before that, he was Head of Commodity Research at Touradji Capital with a focus on industrial materials, shipping, and China, and he was also Head of Commodity Research at Catequil Asset Management. Mr. Hommert was previously employed at Mitsui Bussan Commodities Ltd. and at PaineWebber Inc. He began his career as a sales trader in aluminum at MG Commodities Ltd. Mr. Hommert earned a master’s degree, summa cum laude, in business and economics from Université de Fribourg/Universität Freiburg in Switzerland.
Matthew Lam
Matthew Lam is an Operations Associate at Ospraie. Mr. Lam joined ParkRiver in 2017 as an Operations Associate. He assists traders in matters outside of direct trading, such as trade reconciliations, reporting, and ad hoc issues that arise. Mr. Lam also serves as a direct communication point between traders, executing brokers, and clearing firms to allow for the seamless flow of trading. Within Ospraie, he has taken on responsibilities that include accounting and compliance. Mr. Lam graduated with a BA in economics from Villanova University.
John Li
John Li is the Director of IT for Ospraie Management LLC. Mr. Li began his career in the year of Y2K (2000) after graduating from Baruch College with a BBA in Computer Information Systems. Over the past 20+ years Mr. Li has built a solid background in all areas of IT from Helpdesk, Field Technician, Manager and Director of IT. Prior to joining Ospraie, Mr. Li was the Director of IT for ParkRiver Fund Solutions.
Yogesh Mago
Yogesh Mago has over 15 years of experience in fundamental, bottom-up investing across a variety of industries globally, including agriculture, travel, consumer, transportation, industrials, and real estate. Mr. Mago serves as a consultant for Ospraie, reviewing agriculture transactions and serving on the boards of directors of several OAS portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Mago worked as a Senior Investment Analyst at Ospraie and at Merchants’ Gate Capital L.P. Mr. Mago is the President and Co-Founder of Operation Water, a nonprofit organization that aims to deliver sustainable access to clean water in impoverished countries through the development of scalable infrastructure projects. In addition, he serves on the advisory board of Girl Rising, a nonprofit organization behind the worldwide social action campaign for girls’ education and empowerment. Mr. Mago has a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from New York University.
Joseph Maloney
Joseph Maloney is the Assistant General Counsel at Ospraie Management and advises on private equity investments, venture capital transactions, and portfolio company matters. Prior to joining Ospraie, Mr. Maloney was a partner at Zukerman Gore Brandeis & Crossman, where he advised clients on private equity and venture capital investments, capital markets transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Maloney was also a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, where his practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, complex reorganizations, and capital markets transactions. Driven by a desire to give back to his community after 9/11, Mr. Maloney enlisted as a volunteer firefighter immediately following the terrorist attacks in New York City and served his community for over 20 years. Mr. Maloney holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA from Boston College.
Greg Mecca
Greg Mecca serves as an Analyst and Trader at Ospraie with a focus on agriculture markets. Prior to joining Ospraie, Mr. Mecca was a portfolio manager at DRW. Prior to DRW, he led global hedging strategy and research of soft veg oils as part of the Commodity Risk Management team at Unilever. Before that, Mr. Mecca was a portfolio manager at Invenio Asset Management (Olam) in Singapore, where he led oilseed and veg oil trading and research. Mr. Mecca previously joined Blenheim Capital Management as a trader and research analyst and later became a portfolio manager focusing on agriculture and soft commodity futures markets. Mr. Mecca received an AB in economics from Princeton University.
Zachary Morse
Zach Morse has been with Ospraie since 2014 and is focused on financial diligence, business diligence, deal execution, and business development for OAS. Previously at Ospraie, in addition to evaluating public equity and private investments, he helped lead the fundamental analysis of natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and other energy markets. With 15 years of experience in financial services, he has evaluated hundreds of transactions and helped oversee more than $2 billion of investments. Prior to Ospraie, Mr. Morse was in the Recapitalization and Advisory Services Group at Sandler O’Neill, where he advised companies, creditors, and financial sponsors across a variety of industries on restructurings, recapitalizations, and M&A. Mr. Morse received his BA in geosciences from Princeton University.
Jason Mraz
Jason Mraz is the Co-Founder and President of Ospraie Management. Since 2010, Mr. Mraz has focused on Ospraie’s business development and private investments. He organized and led the development of the Ospraie Ag-Science (“OAS”) team and platform with the catalytic investments in Beeflow in late 2017 and Marrone Bio in early 2018. He managed the OAS team through 19 investments in AG-tech companies ranging from early seed-stage partnerships to public holdings. The OAS team deployed over $220mm over a seven-year investment term.
While actively engaged in all of the Ag-Scienc portfolio companies, Mr. Mraz represents Ospraie Ag-Science on the boards of directors of Beefflow and IGS – Intelligent Growth Solutions, and he also serves on the board of Five Rivers Cattle Feeders for Ospraie Management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mraz was the Co-Portfolio Manager for Ospraie Real Return and Ospraie Real Return Enhanced Funds, actively managed long-only commodity index funds with $1.5bb in AUM. From 1999 to 2009, he ran all trading activities and related personnel for Ospraie Management.
Mr. Mraz’s career has been focused on the financial markets for over 30 years, beginning when he joined JPMorgan in 1989. He began his career trading foreign bonds and currencies and spent his last four years at the bank as the long bond sector trader on the U.S. Treasury desk. In the summer of 1999, Mr. Mraz joined Dwight Anderson to form Ospraie in partnership with Tudor Investment Corporation.
He holds an AB in political science from Princeton University. In his personal time, Mr. Mraz serves on the board of Concarlo Therapeutics, a pre-clinical oncology company, and on the Board of Advisors for the Princeton Varsity Club.
Julie Overbeck
Julie Overbeck is an Operating Partner at Ospraie and serves on the boards of directors of companies in the OAS and ORA portfolios. Ms. Overbeck is currently the Managing Partner of Basset Capital, a family investment firm. After a 17-year career with Eli Lilly, Julie joined Remington Seeds in 1994 and, as President, was fundamental to the growth of Remington as it transitioned from a local production company to a worldwide producer of agricultural seed. She has been a leader in Girls Inc., serving on both the national board and the board of the Chicago affiliate. She is also active as a board member for several other philanthropic and business organizations. Ms. Overbeck received a BS in biology and a Master of Business Administration from Purdue University and has been honored by the University as an outstanding alumna.
Chris Papouras
Chris Papouras is an advisor to Ospraie Ag Science, supporting portfolio company strategy and governance. In this capacity, he serves on the Board of Directors of Four Growers LLC and has previously served as Chairman of the Board of Freight Farms Inc. and Velocigro Inc.
Mr. Papouras is also a private investor who previously served as President of Nabors Drilling Solutions and President of Canrig Drilling Technology, where he led efforts to automate and modernize the well construction process and holds several related patents. He advises Nabors Industries on energy transition and carbon nanoparticle technologies and has held board roles with SEACOR Holdings, Era Group, Avangard Innovative, and multiple oil and gas technology startups. Mr. Papouras earned a BSE in chemical engineering from Princeton University and dual MSc degrees in management and chemical engineering from MIT, where he was a Leaders for Manufacturing Fellow.
Mr. Papouras resides in Miami Beach and is active in YPO Gold and local mentoring programs. He also serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston, where he is a former board chair.
Dawn Pennisi
Ms. Pennisi brings over three decades of experience in office management, executive support, and operational coordination across both corporate and nonprofit sectors. Prior to her time at Ospraie Management, she worked at Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Ms. Pennisi holds a BA from the State University of New York.
Erik Peters
Erik Peters is a Research Analyst at Ospraie. Prior to joining Ospraie, Mr. Peters was an associate at PwC Strategy&, where he advised Fortune 500 clients on value creation and operations transformation initiatives. Mr. Peters holds a BA in economics and a certificate in environmental studies from Princeton University.
Greg Piper
Greg Piper is an Operating Partner for Ospraie focused on business development in the global commodity, energy, power, and agriculture sectors and currently serves as a director of World Kinect Corporation. Prior to his advisory work, Mr. Piper was the CEO and a board member of CP Energy, a private midstream oil and natural gas company. He also served as CEO of Gavilon Energy, a private midstream energy company, where he led the energy group’s spin-off from the Gavilon Group and then the sale of Gavilon Energy to NGL Energy Partners. Before his role as CEO of Gavilon Energy, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at the Gavilon Group, where he directed the company’s strategic initiatives, including the sale of the global agriculture business to Marubeni Corp.
Mr. Piper was also COO of Prisma Energy International, a global power and energy company with 15 businesses in 11 emerging market countries, and led the sale of Prisma Energy International to Ashmore Group. Mr. Piper began his career as a petroleum engineer with EOG in the Rockies.
Mr. Piper received his Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
Brendan Poff
Brendan Poff is the Director of Operations for Ospraie Management. Previously, Mr. Poff served as the Director of Operations for ParkRiver Fund Solutions LP with an emphasis on the commodities space and start-up funds. He started his career as a Senior Analyst for Citi Hedge Fund Administration. Mr. Poff earned his MBA (magna cum laude) from Fordham University School of Business and holds BS degrees in biochemistry and business management from The College of New Jersey, with memberships in the Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies.
Molyssa Resta
Molyssa Resta is the Director of Investor Relations for Ospraie Management. Ms. Resta began her career with ParkRiver Fund Solutions LP in 2011, where she ran the Investor Relations and Accounts Payable departments. Ms. Resta earned her BA in psychology and women’s studies from the University of Delaware.
Joseph Suttles
Joseph Suttles is an independent consultant who was engaged by Ospraie to assist in the management of investments within the ORA portfolio and to support the evaluation of new opportunities. His prior experience includes approximately 12 years at Teays River Investments, a management firm focused on long-term, vertically integrated projects exclusively in the production agriculture space. Mr. Suttles received a BS and an MS in agricultural economics from Purdue University.
Craig Swanson
Craig Swanson is the Director of Finance at Ospraie Management, overseeing the Ospraie Real Assets Fund. Mr. Swanson joined Ospraie in 2023 after nearly two decades of experience in the private equity space at firms such as Centre Lane Partners, KPS Capital Partners, Macquarie, and Cantor Fitzgerald, where he operated as either a Controller or an Executive-Level Analyst. Mr. Swanson holds a BS in business administration from Bucknell University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Charlie Talcott
Charlie Talcott is a Senior Associate at Ospraie focusing on energy and technology investments. Mr. Talcott was previously Vice President of Operations at Stronghold Digital Mining (NASDAQ: SDIG) and an Associate at Beard Energy Transition Acquisition Corporation. He started his career as an analyst in the technology investment banking group at Barclays. Mr. Talcott is a Fulbright grantee, and he received his undergraduate degree in business administration and German literature and culture from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated summa cum laude and with highest honors.
Lee Vetsch
Lee Vetsch is an Investment Analyst at Ospraie, where he sources and evaluates venture capital, growth-equity, and real-assets opportunities while supporting portfolio companies with business development and strategic initiatives. Mr. Vetsch earned an MS in agribusiness and applied economics from North Dakota State University, authoring a published thesis on ag-tech valuations and co-authoring peer-reviewed papers and analysis for agribusiness. During school, his early experiences included industrial-focused equity research positions at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board and private equity firms. Mr. Vetsch remains involved in agricultural production through his family’s grain and livestock farm and through the co-founding of a small vertical farming business focused on leafy greens in the upper Midwest.
Tom Wiltrout
Tom Wiltrout is an Operating Partner who evaluates agriculture deals and serves on the boards of directors of companies in the OAS and ORA portfolios. Mr. Wiltrout has spent his entire career in the agriculture industry, including 35 years at Dow AgroSciences, where he served as a strategic leader developing the global seeds business. Mr. Wiltrout was a member of the American Seed Trade Association’s Board of Directors and served on the Board of Directors of Agri Institute, Indiana’s premier agricultural leadership program. He has also served on several additional boards of directors, including Ag Alumni Seeds, Innovative Seeds Solutions LLC, and Remington Holding LLC. Mr. Wiltrout earned a bachelor’s degree in forestry and a master’s degree in forest ecology from Purdue University.
